Our CEO - Melinda Stephenson
Under the leadership of Melinda Stephenson, Chief Executive Officer, Kingwood Medical Center completed a 25 million dollar expansion adding 56 private beds to the hospital, developed a comprehensive neuroscience program and has continued to expand cardiac and women’s services.
Stephenson joined Kingwood Medical Center with a history of accomplishments with its parent company, HCA. Most recently, she served as CEO of Mainland Medical Center for four years. Prior to that she served as the Chief Operating Officer as well as the Chief Nursing Officer of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center for eight and four years, respectively.
She earned an MBA from the University of Houston at Clear Lake and possesses a BSN from the University of Texas. Additionally, she is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Giving back to the community her hospital serves, Stephenson is a Director on The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce's Board and the Humble Independent School District Foundation.
